Area youth are invited to attend the “Zeta Finer Womanhood Conference: Your Purpose Defined” sponsored by the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Pi Omega Zeta Chapter. The event will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Old Settlers, 3300 Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock.
Motivational speakers to include: KVUE Journalist – Ashley Goudeau, NFL NY Giants Super bowl Champion – Michael Johnson, Local Designer of Toombas Jeans & Denim – Haja Scott, Personal Trainer – Kim Morgan, Plus size Model/Stylist – Nicole Cunningham and many many more, will present on various topics, including career and education exploration, leadership and image building, decision making techniques, as well as topics on communication, social and behavioral skills. Interactive and team building exercises are also components of the day-long conference.
Open to all area girls ages 13-18. Admission Fee is $25 in advance and $35 on site (includes lunch)
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., a non-profit organization founded in 1920, is a national organization with more than 100,000 members. The organization was founded for black women on the precepts of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. The Pi Omega Zeta Chapter, which operates many community, cultural, and educational projects in the Williamson County area, was founded in 1998.
