I’m so glad to see summer time. Yes, it will get hot in Austin, but with the heat comes all the festivals, food, swimming and much more. If you are like me, you have survived graduations and now it’s time for some fun in the sun.

Are you planning your vacation yet? I’m the late one. But I will plan some small day trips just to get a change of scenery.  Ujima will give you some ideas of great fun places to visit for the day or if you want to plan a big family trip. We will also celebrate June 19th, better known as Juneteenth! Catch the parade and all the activities surrounding this great historical celebration. Don’t forget your father. We will give you some good ideas for gifts just in case you are stuck. Look to Ujima to share all things summer and fun.

We are all looking for fun, but be sure you stay safe and wear your sunscreen and mosquito spray (Zika).  Summer is a great time to visit with friends and family and catch up on life. Slow down a bit and enjoy life. I hope you take time to do that! Happy summer everyone!
