Mikaila to offer a series of free educational workshops on how to save the honey bee
WHAT:
In celebration of the contribution pollinators make to the world’s food supply, BeeSweet Lemonade, is taking part in National Pollinator Week, June 16 -22, by facilitating workshops for youth and families on the importance of the honey bees and how to save them. The free workshops will be held at various locations throughout Texas during the entire month of June. Pollinator Week has grown exponentially in scope since the U.S. Senate’s unanimous approval in 2007. Today it draws the support and endorsement of governors, mayors and other respected elected officials across the United States.

BeeSweet Lemonade
WHO:
BeeSweet™ Lemonade, is a refreshing drink created by nine-year old Mikaila Ulmer when she was just four-years-old. Mikaila used her great-grandmother’s lemonade recipe to transform her fear of bees into a passion for social entrepreneurship. She originally created the healthy, refreshing lemonade for a kid-entrepreneur event by adding local honey and fresh mint to a flaxseed lemonade recipe sent to Mikaila by her great Granny Helen.
Today, the award-winning BeeSweet Lemonade is buzzing off the shelves at the local Whole Foods Markets, the world’s leader in natural and organic foods, and at a growing number of restaurants, food trailers and natural food delivery companies. The social entrepreneur, bee ambassador, educator and student donates 20 percent of the profits from the sale of her lemonade to organizations fighting hard to save the bees. Her motto: “Buy a Bottle, Save a Bee.”
