Damita Miller-Shanklin, Founder and Publisher, of Austins’ only Black focused magazine, has been committed to telling diverse stories that educate and inform our community. Ujima has worked to build the magazine around our community by highlighting everyday heroes; and it will continue to do so. You can expect the same quality, same great stories and the same hard work to provide information to our community.
The staff is very excited about our new direction and opportunities. Our premiere issue will be coming very soon. Thanks to the Austin community for all your support. We look forward to taking this exciting adventure with you!
