Today was a lunch meeting at The Original New Orleans Po Boy and Gumbo Shop, 1701 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, TX. Decided to not take a pillow with me this time, which was a mistake because Owner/Operator, Darold cooked up the lunch special.

It consisted of Blackened Fish (Catfish or White Fish) over a bed of rice and covered in crawfish etoufee’. Had some lemonade and tried to stay awake… Plenty of food for only $11.99. They also had po-boys, combos, platters and baskets for different appetites. They also do catering and sell crawfish boils (seasonal).

Go over and try some real deal fixin’s and be sure to tell ’em Austin Eats sent ya’
