Are you aware that breast cancer is the most common cancer among African American women? You can take action.

1. Learn your family history and know your risk. Talk to your health provider about those risk.

2. Have a mammogram every year starting at age 40.

3. Know your breast. Know how your breast feel and look and report any changes to your doctor.

4.  Choose healthy lifestyle choices such as: maintaining a  healthy weight, exercise, limit alcohol use, limit postmenopausal hormone and breastfeed if you can.

These are just tips to remind us all of the importance of having a mammogram and taking care of our health. For more information contact Susan G. Komen for the Cure at http://www.komen.org.
