THE KITCHEN DIVA FARM FEAST dinner series celebrates the work of local farmers and ranchers. farm workers, and food artisans using their ingredients and products as part of the dinner menu.   Kinky Friedman, Carol Ann Sayle and Larry Butler,  and the farm workers of Boggy Creek Farms Texas farm and their produce and products will be our guests of honor at the dinner. The Farm Feasts are $100 per person.  Please register at http://www.kitchendiva.org.

Proceeds from the Farm Feast dinners are used to purchase the produce and products from local farmers and to support The Kitchen Diva Health Outreach Project to provide healthy food education information and nutritious meals for under-served Central Texas communities.  We use the money we raise from the Dinners to provide free lunches using local farm produce in conjunction with Central Texas community health fairs.  This is often the first time that many of the health fair attendees have an opportunity to taste ethnic and American comfort foods and heritage recipes prepared using  fresh, local vegetables and nutritious ingredients and to get information about diet-related illnesses.
