Ujima Magazine has had the privilege to come in contact with a awesome local Artist & Photographer. Her body of work as an artist consists of colorful acrylic mixed media paintings. Ujima community meet Torrie Rebuck, as she says ” The layers of paints, pastels charcoal, and colored pencils create a texture and depth significant to the work , my formula for success rest in God who holds my hand while I paint.”
As a photographer there is an incredible joy when I am able to capture that greatest moment in someone’s life. I take the artist in me and combine it with photography, which drives me to create Artistic Photography. There’s an excitement, passion, significance and special meaning behind every photo, and gives me great pleasure in knowing that you will have that memory for a lifetime.
Her Artwork is currently being displayed at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center in Killeen, Tx an article was written about Torrie in the Killeen Daily Harold News and the Rolling Out Magazine in Atlanta, Georgia.
Please visit her website at http://www.rebuckartisticphotography.com for a comprehensive view of her paintings, and most importantly the painting “A Cry for a Fallen Soldier” and the story behind the painting is included to add to the experience. This painting received recognition from our President Barack Obama for her support and dedication to our men and women serving for our country.
Look forward to the in depth interview with this awesome young lady in the near future about her many gifts and talents.
