WHO:                   Austin African-American Firefighters Association’s (AAAFFA) Basketball Camp

WHAT:                 More than 150 kids from throughout Austin (primarily East Austin) attend this free three-day camp to learn both the fundamentals of basketball and fire safety. Additionally, the firefighters involved take the opportunity to talk to them about what it takes to become a firefighter, hoping to spark interest in the profession.
