CBD stores have opened up around the country. They offer an alternative to traditional medications and treatments. Your CBD Store will be having its grand opening on Thursday, December 19 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. Your CBD Store is a black-owned store located in Leander, Texas.

Ujima had the chance to speak with the manager, Selica Granderson, about the new store.

Ujima: Can you explain to our readers what CBD is and what drew you to this business?

Selica: Your CBD Store is the largest dedicated CBD store selling hemp products in the country. CBD derived from industrial hemp is regulated by the USDA and we have revolutionized the quality of CBD manufacturing, and have created a space that is welcoming for our clientele. We are not a vape shop we are a learning environment where customers can try products and leave knowing what is in our product. I was drawn to the business because of my father. He was shot in the line of duty and later a car accident that injured his neck and back. These injuries cause so much pain and the need to be on prescription drugs and injections. After he tried CBD he no longer has to be on prescription drugs or get neck and back injections.

Ujima: What type of products will you sell?

Selica: We sell many products such as oils, creams, edibles, capsules, skincare, and we even have products for animals (mammals, fish, and birds all can find similar benefits when using CBD as humans).

Ujima: What are the most popular products and their benefits?

Selica: The most popular products are our Tinctures, Water Solubles, and creams.

Ujima: What did you have to learn to open this type of business?

Selica: I had to learn the legal obligations as well as inventory and marketing etc. There is extra training that is done to become certified. We have a Chemist on staff as well.

Ujima: Tell our readers about your grand opening coming up?

Selica: Our ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Leander Chamber of Commerce is December 19th at 4:00 pm. We plan on being extremely involved in the community, to make sure people truly understand how CBD can change their lives.
