Who are ACC’s Men of Color? I’d like to take this opportunity to invite you to find out. You’ll be glad you did.
The Men of Color Programs aim to help Asian, Latino and African-American men attending Austin Community College reach their academic goals by connecting them with essential resources, providing assistance, and learning opportunities to support their success.
Please join me on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 7:30 until 9 a.m. for the Men of Color’s 4th Annual Community Engagement Breakfast at ACC’s Eastview Campus Room 8500, 3401 Webberville Rd., Austin, TX 78702.
You’ll be able to meet some of the members of the Men of Color Program and learn more about the program. You’ll also find out how you can partner with us – whether it’s mentoring, networking, sponsoring college & university visits, or providing outreach opportunities – to actively engage in the positive development of the Asian, Latino and African-American men in our community.
Our Men of Color members are willing to help themselves. Are you one of the “powerful people” willing to help them? If so, I look forward to meeting you.
“There are powerful people out there who are willing to help you.
You just have to be willing to help yourself.”
