Ujima Birthday Memories: Marcella Simms and Kai Dupe

Do you remember Marcella Simms story? Her story centered around her prison ministry. She shared her story of living through a difficult time and and being homeless. This time made her stronger and changed her life. I remember her saying how being given a small bag of toiletries made her feel good. It is usually the little things that can make such a big difference.

Kai Dupe is a technology advocate for our Black community. He has been a contributing writer to Ujima Magazine since 2008. Thank you Kai. His story focused on our black children being left behind in the technology world. His dream is to see Black children excel in STEM programs around the country. He wants our community to see more from technology than just a tool we use to talk and listen to music. Kai would like to see our children do more by having tech jobs through developing apps and so much more.
