Celebrations are precious milestones. It can be your marriage, work, or your business anniversary. Summertime is when people celebrate family reunions, vacations and more. But there is one celebration you should definitely know about…
You know Milli Mills from our June-July Everyday Hero Spotlight. She is inviting Austin to her 5th Year Celebration of her Bring It In The House Podcast Show.
How did you start your podcast Bring it in the House? What was the purpose behind it?
“Bring it In the House” – Podcast Show launched after receiving several confirmations from various former co-workers, family members and friends at unrelated times, expressing that I should return to radio broadcasting or start my own podcast show. But it was not until Media Talent, Tina Tilton, made an unrefusable offer when I decided to take the leap of faith and launch the Podcast Show on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 7:30 pm CST. Tina reached out to me in May of 2020 asking if I was working in broadcasting at the time. I replied, “No, I am currently working in corporate America”. Tina then asked if I ever thought of becoming a podcast host. I replied, “no”. Tina then explained that she had her own production company, “The Podcast Center” and would produce my episodes for a nominal fee but I would be responsible for obtaining guests for the show. I agreed and the rest is history…here we are 5 years later.
Tell our readers about the importance of this anniversary.
The anniversary is so important due to it being our 5th year anniversary. The number 5 symbolizes God’s grace, mercy, and favor towards humanity. Therefore, I believe that God has granted us grace, mercy, and favor towards humanity for the past five years with the podcast show which calls for a celebration…a moment to give thanks! In addition, I will be celebrating my 60th birthday as well, my third life score.
What do you love the most about hosting a weekly podcast? Is there a common thread that all your guests have on your show?
What I love most about hosting a weekly podcast is the opportunity to learn about outstanding achievements of others, the opportunities to touch lives globally weekly, and build solid lasting rapports with other industry professionals. At this time, the common thread is that all our guests on the show operate in a line of excellence. All guests, whether they are musicians, entertainers, artists, or leaders in their community, display layers of excellence in their line of profession. It is so interesting to hear how their career paths began, how the spark came about, and/or what avenue was taken to blaze their trail of success. What can people look for as your podcast continues in our community?
If the podcast continues in our community, people can look for a new opening theme for the show, more exciting guests, more giveaways, a chance for in-house interviews, and maybe longer run times, i.e. example, hour long shows instead of 30-minute shows.
Give us the information as to where the community can come and celebrate with you.
