
OMG! It has been super hot outside. Just going outside for a moment, you get soak with sweat. We have to make sure we stay hydrated during this time.
You don’t ever want to be severely hydrated. It sneaks up on on. Stay ahead of it. Below you will find a few suggestions keep in mind as you deal with the hot summer days!
• Drink water when you first wake up.
• Drink about 30 minutes before every meal, including breakfast. And drink 30-60 minutes after you eat. This aids with digestion.
• Keep water with you in a reusable bottle throughout the day to make drinking water a habit.
• Infuse your water with slices of fruit to make it more interesting.
• Keep a few packets of electrolytes mix on hand – in your purse, gym bag, car, desk at work. These contain sodium, potassium and magnesium and are great for instant hydration.
• Get an app on your phone or set a timer to remind you to drink more water.
