Back in 2019, I went to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. If you want to visit a zoo and not be out in the sun, the NBWR offers a drive through animal experience that is super fun and you get to stay in the AC.
The animals come up to the car and especially if you got food. They will eat from your hand. Some animals stopped right in front of the car and you had to wait until they decided to move or you go around. You do have to be very careful. I do plan to go back but I want to take the guided tour next time. This is a great option for a family day trip. Let me know if you go or have been.

Went here yesterday and it was super fun. We drove ourselves through. The kids loved it. So many of the animals ate right out of our hands and were very gentle with the kids. Would definitely recommend and go back again!
